Real Runners Mo Farah picked up a silver medal in the men's 5000m, losing out in a thrilling sprint finish to Jesus Espana. After a slow start the race began to pick up when Mo hit the front as he pushed for home. He had managed to shake off all bar Espana with 200m remaining.
Now a household name, GB International Mo Farah opened proceedings for the Real Runners “A” team in lavish style, annihilating the men’s individual record by no less than 33 seconds, and clocking a truly remarkable time of 9:22.
The Spaniard just edged out Mo, pipping him to the line by just nine hundredths of a second. Mo covered the last mile in 3 minutes 56 seconds. What a finish!
