Mark Warmby
One of our most promising athletes is Mark Warmby. Gold medallist at the 2006 UKA 4km championships, Mark’s continued to flourish with a 53rd finish at the World Cross Country Championships over the same distance in Japan. He was one of Britain's leading 5000m runners in 2007, having previously dabbled in the steeplechase; perhaps attracted to the water jump from his times as a lifeguard!
Last year the Huddersfield athlete, coached by the legendary Gary Staines, bounced back from foot surgery and salvaged his season with an unbelievable bronze medal at the Aviva Olympic 5000m Trials. Mark's commitment is coupled with a UKA Level 3 qualification as well as credentials in sports and recreation, all of which make him a valuable member of the team.
