25th November 2006 – Five Real Runners Qualify for European Cross Country Championships
5 x Real Runners (Andy Vernon, Mat Ashton, Michael Skinner, Steve Vernon and Mo Farah) all qualify for the European Cross Country Championship in Italy.
The senior men’s team will be led by Mo, who is hoping to put an end to Lebid’s winning streak (6xEuropean XC Champion). Joining Mo will be Steve Vernon and Michael Skinner.
Andy Vernon, who is also 1st reserve for the senior team will be leading the men’s under 23 team. Andy finished 2nd in the u20 European XC Championship in 2005, he will also be joined by Real Runners Mat Ashton, who finished 24 in the 2003 u20 European XC Champs.
